Sulle tracce della cerva di Cerinea: nota metrico-testuale a Eur. Temenid. fr. 740 Kn.
Abstract
The paper re-examines a fragment of Euripides’ Temenidae (740 Kn.), transmitted by Aelian
and centred on the mythical episode of the Heracles’ capture of the Ceryneian hind. Particular
attention is devoted to the final and most problematic verses of the fragment, for which a
new proposal of textual restitution and metrical interpretation is advanced.
Key-words: Euripides, Temenidae, Aelian, tragic choral songs.
