Abstract

his contribution suggests an integration to Prisc. part. 104,8. In a passage on Verg. Aen.
8,1, the grammarian illustrates the meanings of the word signum, which is glossed with some
Greek terms, including σάλπιγξ. Hence follows an unspecified reference to Lucan, which has
been pointed out as a lacuna in Passalacqua’s edition. Accepting this solution, all passages
of Lucan’s text that might have been taken into account by the grammarian are proposed in
succession, in order to arrive at a proposal for integration, also on the basis of similar examples
from the Partitiones and the Ars themselves.
