TRE ISCRIZIONI INEDITE NEL MUSEO DEL LOUVRE
Abstract
This article publishes three Latin inscriptions preserved in the Louvre Museum that have remained unpublished despite being
mentioned in the 1975 catalogue of Latin inscriptions compiled by Serge Ducroux. On the basis of autoptic examination, the article
presents the transcription and interpretation of three texts: a funerary inscription for P. Aelius Costans, engraved on the reverse
of the epitaph of Valeria Galla (CIL VI, 28197); a fragmentary marble slab of uncertain interpretation; and an inscription recording
the restoration of an aedicula dedicated to Fortuna.
