Su Giacomo Perni da Cassignola: conferme onomastiche e un san Giuliano l’Ospitaliere per il Campidoglio

Abstract

The article presents some unpublished documents from the State Archives in
Rome, which shed light on the identity of the sculptor Giacomo Perni from Cassignola and
allow us to attribute to him a new sculpture. These documents also add new information on an
episode that has been so far neglected in the building history of the Campidoglio, namely the
construction and decoration of the site of the Arte e Università degli Albergatori of Rome, for
whose facade the statue by Giacomo Perni was commissioned.
