Per l’interpretazione di Theogn. 261-266
Abstract
The interpretation of Theogn. 261-266 remains highly controversial, and all the interpretations given end up proposing speculative reconstructions, often cumbersome and in any case hardly plausible. This article represents an attempt at exegesis based on the reconstruction of a plausible socio-political and ideological scenario in which to place the verses, without neglecting linguistic difficulties. Indeed, vv. 261-266 seem to reflect the stigmatisation of the mésalliances between ἀγαθοί and κακοί, a theme clearly present at least two other times in the sylloge (vv. 183-192 and 193-196).
