Abstract

This paper focuses on Pindar’s fr. 244 M. The textual transmission of this brief fragment is examined in detail, particularly a genuine lection preserved by the Etymologicum Magnum and hitherto neglected. Additionally, the possible setting of the fragment is discussed.
