CONGETTURE FILONIANE

Abstract

Discussione di quattro passi di Filone di Bisanzio: Paraskeuastika I 44 (forse si deve leggere ἐντειχίσαντά τινας in luogo di ἐν τῇ μετά τινας), I 50 (si propone la congettura καὶ κηροῖς per καὶ κριοῖς), I 86 (il testo può ben essere spiegato anche senza l’integrazione ‹ἀριστεύσαντες›), II 53 (la correzione sicura Ἄκης porta a ritenere che questo libro sia stato scritto prima che la città venisse ribattezzata Tolemaide, intorno al 266 a.C.).

Four passages from Philo of Byzantium are discussed: Paraskeuastika I 44 (perhaps ἐντειχίσαντά τινας should be read instead of ἐν τῇ μετά τινας), I 50 (it could be conjectured καὶ κηροῖς instead of καὶ κριοῖς), I 86 (the text can be well explained without the supplement ‹ἀριστεύσαντες›), II 53 (the secure correction Ἄκης leads us to believe that this book was written before the city was renamed Ptolemais, around 266 BC).
