Per Antonio Masi
Abstract
In these pages, we see the devotion of a young scholar who recalls three important moments in his academic development, all of which feature Professor Antonio Masi as a central figure. The first concerns the professor’s suggestion to shape the research on auctoramentum into a monograph; the second is the support Professor Masi provided in overcoming the criticism of Professor Talamanca’s monograph; and the third is the assistance he offered in preparing the lecture for the appointment as associate professor. What emerges is Professor Masi’s remarkable generosity and selflessness as a mentor, qualities that still form the foundation of deep affection and both personal and professional respect.
